I tore the Algodoo Sim apart. I don't know why the SIM is running. I think friction must not be set right on the sliders? Is there anyway to bring the friction down in the real build?Shadow:I have to analyze what is different from what I achieved with Algodoo!

Re: PROCESS RESTART
I think that a 100,000 was about all that he was willing to pay for it. But, if you like dumping on it, go ahead--------------------Sam [/color] I am not trying to dump on anything Sam. His asking price was 100,000 thalers. Karl made a deal to look inside for 4000 thalers. JC’s books 4. The price o...

Copilot: The Thaler was a silver coin used throughout Europe for almost four hundred years. Its size and silver content varied among different states and periods. In the 18th century, a Thaler often contained about an ounce of silver. As of 2021, an ounce of silver is worth around $25 USD. So, if w...

Fletcher: To me he was quite deadpan and just said it was easy to understand and simple to build ( paraphrased ) .. I reconcile it this way - once he had seen the workings of the Merseburg runner he was underwhelmed, passe, not hugely impressed by the engineering components and complexity - iow's i...

Re: CENTRIFUGAL SPIRAL WHEEL.
Nice work savoniuspiral. Not sure if it will work but I have a design for a double spiral lift witch uses counter torqueing spirals. If I find the time I will post it on my thread. It might help you?

That is odd Roxaway59 . I don’t know. Never seen Agodoo run anything that complicated that smooth before.
Doesn’t logically make sense to me why it would speed up.

Re: W.G.McMurtry MT Image Archive
It’s too bad because it will just become hard to find again. Too bad we didn’t get rid of the fraud forum and just had a facts forum with Bill’s wheel dimensions and drawings that was closed for commenting on.

I suppose the minimal elevation gives this saying more credence; “Saskatchewan, Canada is so flat that on a clear day, if you stand on an apple crate and look east, you can see the back of your head.”

Indeed, my ancestors were also among the brave souls who sailed with Christopher Columbus. They were so paranoid about falling off the edge of the Earth, they wouldn’t even play a game of marbles on deck

Agor95: I do not want to disappoint; However I am after an interaction that is stronger that the coriolis effect Who said the force was weak? It looks weak because you’re not really harnessing earths rotation. If we consider the circumference of the Earth at the equator (which is roughly 40,075 kil...

Ok, now modify it so the mass stays motionless while earth winds it.Agor95: It is good to see the internal components of a self winding pocket watch.
In a way the mass tries to stay motionless while the frame [components] actively moves resulting in the winding process.

Robinhood46 : Therefore, there must have been something additional that was responsible for giving the 5 to 1 ratio. That not only isn't in the drawing, it isn't in the writings either. It is in the writings. Wolf clearly states 4 to 1 and a reduction pulley which could be translated slightly wrong...
