Re: Besslers prime mover and its enabler.

A toggle switch arrangement needs to overcome the spring to switch states. Additionally, you need to lift the weight into OB, so more energy than we are getting out of rotation. As for a weight being felt higher than it is: there are a number of factors to overcome... Rotational positioning is the i...

Re: Besslers prime mover and its enabler.

Firstly, I like the way the device appears to move and shift the weight. I like how the outer weight climbs out, then in and up. I suspect the movement is an imperfection in the program. I look forward to the WM2D, but I am not holding my breath for it to work. I am not the best to replicate in WM2D...

Re: Besslers prime mover and its enabler.

You are basically splitting hairs and you know it. No split hairs over here mate. I said "Gravity is not an energy source". Gravity does not create energy. Using an analogy in electronics, Gravity is like a capacitor. It doesn't create energy, it only stores what you put into it. Kicking ...

Re: Besslers prime mover and its enabler.

I don't agree there are many "faults". There is one. Two things happened in Besslers wheel, and we know how one works. We have all built or simmed many mechanisms. One doesn't run because of this, another doesn't run because of something else... If only that one did this, etc. But the trut...

Re: Besslers prime mover and its enabler.

Quick note. If you select all, click do not collide, it stopped accelerating for me. It should still slow down with wind resistance I would think. Not sure why it does not.

Re: Grease power

P. Once again you have delivered an imaginitive design. I am not sure exactly how your weight lifts at the top, I assume the whole wheel is designed to spin CCW? I have come to believe that in energy terms, whatever energy it takes to lift the top weight will be negatively mirrored in the actuating ...

Re: Gravitational shortcut

The one way bearing won't stop the roller from moving backwards. The roller, when it moves backwards, it lifts slightly, so takes energy. This small amount of vertical movement is what I meant by the rollers losing height... Sorry, didn't explain myself very well.

Re: Gravitational shortcut

the rollers don't lose height. They have solved the problem of lifting / resetting the weights. Yes they do. When the rollers do work, the result is the roller rolls backwards, creating an equal back torque. Additionally, if you have a theoretical immovable weight, it is the wheel that forces the a...

Re: Gravitational shortcut

Hi Sam I mean you have to ask that to yourself... What is your perceived advantage, how do you test it. I don't want to discourage you from testing it, or understanding why it does or doesn't work. I have explored this basic principle in the past. My firm belief is that its operation is explainable ...

Re: Gravitational shortcut

JB, if any of your images could be achieved, all of them would be scalable or multiply-able.

Hi Sam, I don't think the ring and rollers achieve what you think they do... You have to ask yourself: What is their advantage, and how do I test that advantage?

Re: Besslers prime mover and its enabler.

https://www.besslerwheel.com/forum/download/file.php?id=26843&t=1 This image seems to me like you understand what should happen. The left and right are equivalent, and this demonstrates what often happens with multiple pivots. It also demonstrates in a way how to simulate a 3d object in a 2d sp...

Re: Gravitational shortcut

My feeling on the matter if we are talking about altering the radius is the weight on the falling side does go further out but briefly as the one on the other side comes briefly in. I have been there. I imagine a lot of people have. As far as radius change, whether you are changing radius, or chang...

Re: Maschinen Tractate - electronic texts?

oh-my-god (Tarsier 79) You said " with our understanding of mechanics and Physics " Yes I did. Considering your lack of understanding of context of the plain English before your eyes, I wouldn't put much weight into any of your "insights" into Besslers words. Also, I am not sure...

Re: Maschinen Tractate - electronic texts?

Bessler used Gravity ad assumably something else. With our understanding of mechanics and physics, we could theoretically substitute gravity out. The important thing is what caused the excess.
