I did something similar of a self lifting weight design and it worked better with only one. When you add more it gets worse. But still a non runner. A nice variation though.

The first one stayed in overbalance mode from what I read. The bidirectional wheels needed a nudge for which direction needed.

Thanks for showing your ideas. The biggest problems with magnets are the sticking points. They do like to hold to each other. deflecting your magnetic fields may help you.

Watching the video I saw a round what looks to be a early form of a solar cell. A mutable magnified lens. That is all for now. I'll look closer later.
