Eleven weights on one side, and five on the other. I briefly mentioned this in my Torque Design thread. The dynamic spokes are held in place by custom casters that have two well-lubed pulleys instead of a wheel. These casters are mounted to a flywheel with a standard centered axle. Anyway, the off-center axle with the dynamic spokes drives the flywheel. By dynamic, I simply mean that they encounter a constant change in their positions.

Hi Silvertiger, welcome to the madness.

Your animation skills are impressive, and you obviousely have a great understanding of physics. I have neither qualities, just a builder.

I built a similar device a few years back with 6 levers, everything kinda equaled out, there was no advantage due to leverage, too many weights on the backside.

Good Luck

Leo

Hi Silvertiger, hi everybody !
I am new for this forum, but a member of overunity dot com. It is very interesting and helpful to read some posts here, thank you.
Regarding Silvertiger's design... it has a chance to work if you move the weights on right closer to the centre of wheel /wheels/. Otherwise the system is in balance. The circle of smaller /gray/ wheel could be a good path for weights, but such a design is nothing new...
Regards

That's a negative on that Rafael. If I move them closer to center then the spokes become evenly distributed, concentrically. Eleven to five is a very good ratio.

Nothing will happen to the spokes if gray wheel prevents weights at 9' from moving to the center.
The gray wheel holding weights at 9' is a barrier allowing to keep spokes in order.
However it is an interesting design.
Good luck Silvertiger!
