Fletcher:

Using a standard 250 words per page, you are exactly 829 words short of having posted a 2500 page book on the Bessler Wheel Discussion Board. I wanted to note that is an accomplishment, even if jim_mich is a close second. Everyone else falls behind.

It just caught my attention.

Jim W.

lol Jim ..

Put that way it is kind of Ken_Behrendt...ish - perhaps it's time I cut that number down.

Though Ralph & Ken far outstrip anyone else by a fair margin for total words & total number of posts.

To be fair Ken was a flaming star.

I wonder how many more words to make the 2500 ;7)

That's rhetorical.

I think Ralph invited Ken to join the forum. Ken was was the 285th member to join the forum. Ken had a very serious posting problem. He thought he had to post every day and to answer most every post made by any member. And his postings were lengthy. Scott eventually put a reasonable limit on Ken's posting, which Ken 'in your face' refuse to abide by. During the short 20 months that Ken was a member, he posted more words than any other member.

I feel it's not how many words you post that counts ... More important is what you say ... and how you say it. Fletcher has a good way with words.

I'm writing a book and have written a total of 140 pages in the last 6 months or around 35,000 words. This compares to the roughly 44,000 words I've posted on this Discussion Board over six years.

I wanted to say to anyone who has posted here a great deal that the continual effort of attempting to write in reality about a subject that has yet to become realized in any practical sense, i.e. Bessler's wheel; is excellent experience for writing that makes sense in general.

I don't doubt that some of you long time posters may have developed skills of which you are unaware.

Jim W.

My writing, spelling, and grammar skills have improved significantly because of the internet. My ability to put my thoughts and ideas into words has also improved. Though I've never had any formal typing classes, I can now type almost as fast as I can think the words.

My putting thoughts and ideas into words has also improved. With WORD © 2010 Microsoft Corp. correcting my spelling and grammar; it's sometimes so easy it almost feels like cheating.

I still have a long way to go, but it gets easier everyday

I just wanted to say that I think Ralph has brought some of the most interesting members to this site, like Doc, Hans von Leivon and Trevor Lynn, just to name a few, I'm certain there are more

Reading this thread prompted me for the first time to have a look at the membership list,i was surprised to see the numerous members who have never visited ,and how many only after signing up,so to speak and not registering a visit again.I would concur with Jim Mich ,the content of the posts is more important ,which i enjoy ,its quite sad that members refrain from the debates on interesting subjects ,i have to say my interests lie with thoughts and builds and not "what if"etc....but thats just my point of view .....so to all who post ...keep it up and Good Luck.

I hold two facts about the Universe which are absolutely and irrefutably correct in every case and are without exception; one, it exists and two, I didn't create it. After that, I become less certain.

I also remain relatively certain there are no perpetual motion machines and there is no afterlife. I had an argument with myself about how in conscience I could continue to return to this board when I'm already in that state of being convinced that no build is going to ever succeed.

The easy answer is I could always be wrong. But the truth is I found I needed to explore that person I once was; that believed such devices as Bessler's were functionally real.

You'll never find me debating a build; as I used to do tirelessly. I just see myself better for the experience reading those who still see it as inevitable. When I came to Bessler's Wheel I had all the proof necessary that a device worked. Bessler's Wheel Discussion Board showed me reality.

Reality is that out-of-balance gravity powered perpetual motion wheels are impossible.

Reality is that Bessler built some type of self-rotating wheel, which he claimed could self-rotate perpetually.

The truth must be out there somewhere.

Looking at the stats, I see I have been logged in for over 14 weeks. What have I learned from this quality time and my time as a builder? Jim is wrong! Gravity power baby!!!
