Oh I see the problem.
This should have actually been posted in another topic. It was more a reply to the initial topic of discussion I guess.
Once you have eliminated the impossible whatever remains however improbable must be the truth.

Phaedrus, A follow up if you will; simply put, the smaller mass is trying to "push off" from a larger mass. Although the larger mass moves very slow in a rear ward direction, compared to the much smaller, faster foreword mass, the momentum will be the same in both directions. That can't be changed. So to do it, some way has to be found to get around the 3rd law.
I think the key to it, is to find a way to rotate or shift the back force 90 degrees so that it is pushing down on the track, (don't ask me how). In this way the smaller fore ward moving weight would "push off" by pushing down on the track. And the vehicle would accelerate @ per/sec/per/sec. and would go to light speed and beyond. I'm just waving my arms around here; but let's face it, if it were mounted to a wheel and axel it would turn a shaft. Sam Peppiatt
