Based on the sim I just completed of his 6 ft wheel, I'd have to say, "NO!"

ken
On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:

Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ

Funny picture... All in good fun?

Vandusen seems to put alot of actual work into his searching...

For that alone I give him a great amount of credit...

I only fault him for "apparent" bad interpersonal skills and business practices...

Yes maybe I am lucky...

In none of my correspondences have I deemed him anything other than corgeal... and careful... My observations of his work is its additive... He has been more forthcoming than I...

However with the amount of grief that you guys go out of your way to "hate on" vandusen it would serve you all right for him to actually find the solution...

You don't need to be a good person to be right...

Some of our greatest inventors were I am sure wanting of certain scruples...

10,000 dollars seems a good reason to be mad...

But if even true, seriously who should that donor be more angry with?

Vandusen or himself... this field is riddled with corruption...

Donor Beware... everybody knows this...

If you cant deal with the obvious elements........

EDIT: Ranting... I don't like derision nor support the activity by ommission...

Personnaly, I found the picture funny more than anything ..

I don't have anything to say about Darrell yet.
I think that every concept needs attention, and I also think that some people here assume they know everything when in fact, they miss every details of an idea.

I also think that people make errors and those errors can be corrected.

:) based on the picture I'd have to say yes. I've wondered since I first saw that picture of Darrel, what's with the black sun arm band he is wearing?

Judd Brooks went to view the wheel & when he got there wasn't allowed to see it. LIB has offered to view it & report back to the board. So far no response about whether that will eventuate. Stefan wants someone to see it running. Hmmm seems a pattern is developing.

Viewing the wheel in operation by a trusted & knowledgeable person should go a long way to settling his claims. If you are prepared to video a wheel whats the difference in someone actually seeing it for themselves in operation ?

Then it could be started in different positions to see if it continues to accelerate etc etc etc.

I'm sure the board could devise a simple list of test requirements that would be considered appropriate for a site/sight test. Darrell could veto in advance which tests he thought not appropriate for his wheel. We of course would then dissect his responses to see if any other meaning could be implied.

I could drive to SmithsFalls for about $130 in gas and one or two nights stay in a motel. I'd want to have a talk with Darrell first to be sure I don't make the trip for nothing. I've already signed a NDA which is pretty much useless because Darrel himself posted most of his design on this public forum awhile back and Stefan has posted pictures also.
