Hi Alex

Indeed your game is interesting to say the lest, but I want to play it a deferent way, let us do away with the incline plain and attach springs to the orbiting masses that can slide on arms/spokes from its center and out to the periphery, lets now rock the wheel in a oscillatory fashion, like the vibration of a plucked string, this game could stimulate me for hours.

re: Play vortices... of the arm

Hi Ken!

An arm/spoke with a satellite mass that can slide and press/depress a spring attached at the end of the arm(or at the hub...is the same situation),can be an image of this vortex-anti vortex game on an inclined plane. One spoke, two or more...

Hi Alex

Looks like there are two or more ways to play this game, all the more fun.

Hi Ken!

It's a new game,that's all!

Hi Ken!

You know the spiral trajectory of a vortex...

If you take a look at www.geocities.com/iacob_alex then click on "Some_Drafts"/text044.jpg you will find the title "Self pulsatory wheel".

Here, you can see two big arms, with satellite masses that can slide and press/depress a spring attached at the end of the arm,so to track a possible spiral trajectory(D=driver).

The two small equal arms( mass and spring),are intended as a temporary storage system(F=follower).

In the hub,we have the switching motion of the long arm-short arm requirement.

The abstraction is that a free moving mass-spring on the arm,can develop a stronger inertial reaction/vortex.

..it's a simple recommendation,to use "something alike".

A windmill/watermill gets its power from slowing down the wind/water flow.

As a "marker",we can perceive the vortices, outside the power collector.

In the "deeps" of a vortex,we can understand a specific shape-reaction of the inertial frame.

For a possible gravity power collector,in an irrotational field (without vortices)/gravity ,the only solution is to play inertial effects, directly.

So ,instead of an intermediate collector-fluid-inertia relation,we have a short collector-inertia connection.

To be concise, play vortices suggestion, can be comprehended as to play inertia,at once.

Hi Ken !

I will try to make a connection, between your suggestion ,at :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moment_of_inertia

and a short movie about vortex ,at :

www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkAPv5s92z0

Any motion in our living space (Earth) is related with gravity and inertia.

Gravity,as a conservative vector field is irrotational (not rotating or involving rotation ),we can,t twist it.

Inertia is more more permissive...we can play vortices with moment of inertia (rotational inertia).

For a gravity motor, this vortex game, can be imagined as a slow fall down-rapid lift of a mass(...higher than the starting point...).

If we can proof this "paradox",we have a "key".

All the best! / Alex

.....with gravity fall and rotational inertia , having in mind the images of the incoming waves at the sea- shore .

The allusive , fascinating and "desirable" phenomenon , at :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vorte ... oburst.gif

It seems that , the cosmic pattern of the "free and fresh"motion is vortex :so ,let's play it!

....with a simple device , as you can see at :

....extracting energy from a water flow ,due the pressure unbalance , rezultanta in an oscilatorul lift..."unlike any existing technology",

.....as you can see at : https://youtu.be/0jHsq36_NTU
.....but as a repetitive 360* ( spiral trajectory ) , only?!
I have in mind a "modified" trebuchet...
