I would of noted to each sound it put out to the point where the sound was made. The hammer mill would have made a lot of noise and I would prefer to have it disengaged for the examination. Noted noises from the axle if it had any and try to describe it to the exact noise. But most of all I would have noted the noises it made when it was being stopped and turned the other way.

But that was another lifetime that we missed. Maybe? LOL
