pick your poison
i'm sure some version of this poll has probably been floated before
just curious as to the current flow
if i pushed the right button, i voted for some other thing, myself
so that's my gumball opinion
i probably won't eblaborate on it much more in here as ne need
but y'all are welcome to
not trying to overlap or step on jimmich's 'grav or motion?' thread
but it says part three
so wanted to get the real time updated polling data of some kind
thanks

re: pick your poison
you are not far from my opinion
i guEss
:{/
hehe
i could see something maybe that wasn't true pm--but it might as well be
yeah
i WAS actually thinking of allowing multiple votes
they offered that
but then i just hit some button....

I don't care either way , but do you inhale special medicine before posting as , what you write, is sometimes all over the place.
Peace

I assumed Dwylbtzle had taken the BW.com crash course in `Wheelwrong`....the universal PM language for the Wheelwright here.
I do care, in that true PM refers to the Principle whilst the other choices refer to means of achieving that Principle. There's enough confusion to be sifting through without adding more.

re: pick your poison
inhaling smoke lowers immunity
the crash course was called physics 101
yes, keeping the terms properly defined avoids confusion
don't worry about the poll gill--the minority is always right
hehe

re: pick your poison
well, since i think this poll goes on forever, i'm going to go out on a limb here and say this would be "early returns"
but, i believe it's about as my talking head predicted, so far (make the voices stop!)
a coupla PMers--huge portion gravity wheel
me in a barking mad class of my own--an ass in his home
and the who knows and humbug crowd kinda keepin their opinions to themselves
perhaps wise
never been able to pull that kinda astute diplomacy off, myself, alas
lol

re: pick your poison
well, i am highly disappointed that there is only one humbugger so far
--either a true believer revival of intense proportions has happened or the hummbuggingbirds have givenafark in despair
barely able to lift their wings to their humbug buttons
poor things
and they're the ones who are probably right
lol
the barking mad SOMEother thing is the only thing that has the faintest whisp of a scientific hope of proving them wrong
it'd have to seem PM--but not technically be--just for all practical purposes
and it has to end up NOT violating newt
he stood on the shoulders of giants
and saw farther
(said so himself)
it has to get around him
i just can't go flipper-grav wheel or PM (goes because it went)
can't see it
if i prove my otherthing engine wrong i will vote humbug
(no 'humbug or someOTHER thing' hehe)
but not true PM or internal gravity alone wheel
it could APPEAR to be one of those
(and work because it really isn't) -sure
there could be 50 people in here who'd have some version of 'it works' if they built their ideas--and then they'd find out it works thru some agency of energies BETWEEN atoms and molecules
and they didn't even think of that--because it works so who cares
lol--
that coulda been bessler too--maybe he didn't know how a telephone works
but he pushed some buttons and managed to place a perfectly viable call

re: pick your poison
When you know how it was done IMO. The answer is easy.
"Our education can be the limitation to our imagination, and our dreams"
So With out a dream, there is no vision.

re: pick your poison
well, that would go without saying
unless it's how to make a wheel
i know ANY engine that works can be made to run a wheel
sure
but i have an idea that would work (i think)
but to put it IN a wheel
ugh!
:{?
would be some metal shop project
but not really efficient
but then there's the NEXT part:
"failing a vision the people perish"

re: pick your poison
please tell me you have also become convinced that the internally achieved, gravity alone, widget flipper/rollerball/whatever wheel is not physically possible
i've negotiated THOSE narrows, i'll 'low
anything with magic liquids i might believe
but that'd be gravity + magic
and would be cheating
i condone cheating
just not breaking newtslaw
but until the strict interpretation of my first sentence is realized in the seeker's mind
i believe one is wasting valuable avenue-search time
it's akin to a sin
striving for more and more complicated ways to fight gravity in order to use it
desire leads to striving
striving leads to suffering
no lust of result
that's probably how you finally find it
you sit out on the hill wondering where the sun went at night
and suddenly it dawns on you
or it was all a hoax, of course
lol
that's the constant (probably more than 50% probability) nagging irritant of the equation
hehe---which would make the persistant discoveror even MORE noble, of course

The best way to approach is to do what others have not tried. The biggest problem is, it seems like everyone is still trying the same things over and over again and calling it new idea. When I look at others doing this I tend to have to take some Tylenol for all the headaches. Take the MT drawings and think how many combinations are possible and you will find it a lot like the lottery.

One big problem is that people seem to think Bessler's secret is hidden in the MT drawings. The drawings are all failed mechanisms. Of course the drawings have lots of component part, much like an erector set, thus if you take components from a number of the drawings, and combine them in the proper way using Bessler's principle of PM, then sure, you would have the answer. But that is like picking lotto numbers at random. The probability of a winning wheel is astronomically large.
All of the MT drawings are attempts at gravity wheels. Bessler said the weights in his wheel gained force from moving. Thus his wheel was rotated by forces gained from the motions of weights.

I voted for "internally achieved gravity wheel' because of Bessler's quote from his maschinen tractate.
no illustration by itself contains a description of the motion; however, taking various illustrations together and combining them with a discerning mind, it will indeed be possible to look for a movement and, finally to find one in them. "
- Johann Bessler, cover page of Maschinen Tractate
While some might compare realizing Bessler's wheel to winning the lottery, this would be because they are lacking in mechanical experience and schooling. Bessler did say that he wished to start a school based on what he knew. If it were not based on specific principles used in engineering today, he would not have known anything worth using for material in a classroom.
And I think it is disrespectful of Bessler and his legacy to say that only blind luck allows for realizing such an invention as Bessler's wheel but that is what the lottery is.
Who knows, maybe he wasn't bitter but was disappointed by the false attacks he had to endure.
