Thanks John. Though I have to disagree with your disagreement that a gravity wheel wouldn't be seen as true perpetual motion. Any one here can ask a physicist and they would say it would be. Even though it gets its motion outside of itself, gravity is conserved and is not considered energy itself. Again, what's lowered into gravity requires the same amount of energy to raise again. Anything in excess of this is energy creation ie. perpetual motion.

As for hydralics, the more I am looking into what Bessler said, the more it lends weight (so tho speak) towards this. Look at the area of his clues where he mentions fluids.

>Greed is an evil root.

A root of course draws water up to the plant.

>The rain flows. Snow falls.

Again water

>The jack fires. The bow twangs;

Fast piston movement, already covered this.

>a large herd of fat, lazy,
plump horses...
The cunning cat slinks quietly along
and snatches juicy mice.

Two references to volume of living creatures. As example we are made from approx. 80 percent water.

>A wheel appears...
It spins around in any direction whether laden or empty...

Laden? Only time I hear that term is when liquids are used. Possible he was stating it could have just ran on air preesure, or gas pressure.

>All things belong to one of three kingdoms and you have the evidence before you.
Without such things as sulfur, salt, and mercury, all things will come to a standstill.

The references to alchemy, the science of the exploration of chemical reactions (expanding gasses etc.) Mercurey is also the term for liquid movement as well as the metal mercury, a liquid.

>The things we eat run through every limb and sinue of our bodies.

This is THE biggy. Things we eat are carried through our system by our blood. A Pressurized "hydralic" system.

>A crab crawls from side to side; It is sound for it is designed thus.

Reference to the side to side movement of the weights, where they don't share the same gravity center?

>Poltergeists wander freely through locked doors.

Reference to air

>But softly! - speak softly of all these marvels,

Reference to air

>lest the enemy grows wise! He will drench me with his spittle

Again reference to liquid

Dav

P.S. In earlier posts I mentioned something that looked like a crank shaft. I never thought this crankshaft ran the wheel, rather the rotating wheel caused the crankshaft to work. Possible acting as a pump to put pressure back into the system.
