Well, I Don't believe in Men in Black, nor do I believe in Bessler's wheel. However, I am not so closed-minded as to totally dismiss the possibilities.
As for Men in Black. That is just a popular term to refer to those who know things that the general public does not, and who are willing to do extreme things to keep it that way.
Now, suppose that Bessler's wheel really did work. Do you REALLY think that Bessler was the ONLY person in history to discover the secret? If an unscrupulous person were to ever discover such a secret, don't you think they would take steps to prevent others from also discovering it so that the benefits of such a device would only be available to them? I think so.
Humans are motivated primarily by greed. Bessler himself went to extraordinary lengths to prevent others from discovering his secret. It takes only a slight bit more effort to actually commit murder to prevent a rival from profiting from such a device.
It is even possible that Bessler himself did not die by accident. If he really DID have a working device, and an unscrupulous person were to find this out, then this person may have murdered Bessler after discovering the secret, and then proceeded to reap the benefits of his Wheel in secret.
There are MANY possible ways that such device could be used for profit without actually revealing it's existence to the public. A person could build up tremendous amounts of wealth, and no one would ever know the difference. In the mean-time, anyone else who tries to bring such a device out to the public can be silently eliminated.
