Data from quasars at the edge of the known universe has been causing problems for years now. They seem to show that the speed of light has been decreasing over the last 10 billion years. This alleged phenomenon, called "c decay," comes up every now and then, and here it is again. The evidence just keeps mounting.

If the speed of light is not constant, then Einstein's Relativity falls down in a heap.

Einstein is the one who finally "solved" the problem of action-at-a-distance, by conceptualizing gravity as a "forceless" force.
