The plans for the "hilsh" tube were captured by the German Army when they occupied France, and were turned over to a German physicist named Rudolf Hilsh, who modified the design, but later came to the conclusion that conventional refrigeration and heating designs of the era were more efficient.
there are some thought experiments where this design could be modified with a turbine design, plus a thought I have is using an electron stream of air to power it, instead of compressed air.
