Yes I remember thatI'd read that before John. I think that if you read the passage again you will see that George Kunstler, (whose name means artist and not that he was an artist)was expressing his belief that the wheel slowed and speeded up during rotation. He even goes on to say that he is amazed that no one reported seeing the effect, but put it down to the difficulty of seeing it with the naked eye. I therefore stick to my original contention that wheel had, as described, an even and equable motion. In other words he maintained a constant speed.
