Of course I agree with you... the historical record does not definitively rule out Bessler's claims. But according to orthodox Science, Bessler was a fraud and the issue is closed. No recent scientists have "made an effort to debunk Bessler," as you say, because he was supposedly already debunked!

: I first encountered a reference to Bessler and his machine today while reading Jacques Barzun's From Dawn to Decadence (p.312). Intrigued, I went to the Internet and found this site. I run a website where we often discuss things like this at www.craniumnexus.net (feel free to check it out).

: Have any recent physicists, etc. made serious efforts to debunk Bessler? It seems that there simply isn't enough historical information to draw a definitive answer.
