The lecture that you spoke of, that was "published 10 years later", have you ever had the chance to read it, or is it available somewhere, possibly on the web?

I would love to see that gentleman's "reasoning" behind why Bessler's device wouldn't work, may be able to reverse his reasoning and find out why it did.

As you know, Ptolemy used to "reason" why things "were" or "weren't" quite a bit, and, well, Hoop-da-wee-bee! He was wrong a LOT.
