I wanna start collecting ideas, not complete designs, just bits and pieces. Need all of you to do so, I know lots of you have some really nice ideas and concepts in the back of their head, I just wanna get them out of there ;)

Now it's your turn guys.
Send in any idea you have of how one can apply vertical load onto an axis ... keeping in mind that the silly thing will turn. Sketches, descriptions, all you have.
You see where I try to go. Maybe good if we split up the whole thing into bits and pieces, so that we end up with a nice puzzle.
