Why did I forget to put the Y in Orffyreus? I am forgetful nowadays.

: It is quite possible that by the free sharing of ideas as they come to you, it is possible for some that have the means and motive, to use those ideas to build their own models before you are able to do so and such ones can then mirror your ideas with posts about their own progress so as to build a public record of the progress of "their" idea. I am not even slightfully doubtful at all that as one uses a computer to model their ideas and then connects to the internet that those ideas can be used to build a physical model faster than you can say....O-R-F-F-R-E-U-S..........If I were of the persuasion of some that post here......It would not be hard at all to post statements about the "progress" of my models so as to create a public record of "my" successes........call me cynical, but I could see the possiblity of certain ones claiming that the success of anyone else in this area of research was actually theirs......anyone remember the movie...."The Net"? Well, I can tell you that the truth is far stranger and personally relevant to those who see. If it were, me, and I had success, I may not use the computer at all for my designs and stay away from the internet until I had several successful models built and distributed. OR, a very detailed computer animation or video ready to be uploaded/distributed.

: BTW, I am going tomorrow to get a nother part for my wheel that uses springs, levers, and weights and I am sure it will work GREAT as I came up with the perfect idea for mine..........yada yada.....

: : Bessler said that he used springs in his wheel, but that he did not use them in the usual way. I have been thinking about this. I believe he said this when someone said that his wheel operated like a wind-up clock. In such a clock, energy is stored within a spring by winding it up. As the clock runs, the energy stored within the spring is gradually released to operate the clock mechanism.

: : It has occured to me that Bessler may have found a way to store some of the gravitational potential energy inside a spring during part of his wheel's rotation, and then release that potantial energy at another part of the wheel rotation. I know SK is using springs within his machine to do something like this. I also note that SK has stated that the angle at which these springs are set are very important. The adjustment of the mass of the weights and strength of the springs are also important.

: : I'm wondering if other people are using springs in their machines. Grim, Darren? Springs might be related to the overunity principle which produces energy. Just a thought.

: : Lurker.
