: Hi everybody,

: I am a new one here - I'm not a native speaker of English so would like to apologize for any mistakes.

: Me and my brother (we live in central Europe) have been working on reconstruction of Johannes Bessler vel. Orffyreus' wheel since 1998 (when we first got information about him and his machine) - we think we have finally found out how it could work, now we are working together on building 1m diameter wheel. It should be ready within a year from now - the construction is not very complicated itself but for us, non-professionals (both are bachelors of arts) it is not so easy to build it. Our computer project is not balanced in each possible position - we hope it won't be in reality either. :-) Please keep your fingers on us; if it works we'll let you know that here.

Welcome to the fold, welcome to the insanity :*)
I am making a wheel too,(a decidedly non-bessler design)
There are at least other 5 wheel makers here,
at least that have stated as much,
(who knows how many wheels there are!)
There are many other lurkers here, although I have no
idea how many different people visit this board. (anyone?)

: Best regards,

: Saurord || Mordorr, Brotherhood of Turning Wheel

I need to think of a good name for myself! ummm....
nah...

: P.S. We believe in success having in mind that first airplane was also built by non-professionals! :-))

You become a professional by being non-professional first!
