BTW, what you refer to as balls or weights on the side of A have white centre dots which Bessler usually used to depict pivot or hinge points. That might suggest that A & B are intended to function in connection with something else.

: Drawing B is a 90 side view of A. The Y shape at the top is a point of reference to illustrate the two parrellel side angles you can't see from tyhis perspective-opened up. The balls, what some have refered to as weights, are actually the part that is held to work the device, like the two illustrations in the center.
