Hi All,

In case you've not read Bill Beaty's "Rules for Unconventional Research". Great suggestions and food for thought, IMO.

Orffyreus may have been a very cleaver inventor but his secrecy, greed and paranoia caused his family and himself enormous life-long suffering - and to what end?. Why would anyone in their right mind wish to follow in his footsteps? Yet we see the same madness recurring again and again and again.

IMO, If Bessler went public with his invention in 1712 he'd have led a happier, more prosperous life and everyone today would know the name Orffyreus.

Regards, ovyyus
