Hi Grim. I looked this up after reading your message, in the McGraw-Hill encyclopedia of science and technology.
Grinding Mill,

A machine that reduces the size of particles (yada yada yada...)grinding mills are of three principle types. In ring-roller pulverizers, the material is fed past spring-loaded rollers. In tumbling mills a drum rotates about it's horizontal axis. The attrition or abrasion between particles grinds the material. In hammer mills, driven swinging hammers reduce the material by sudden impacts. Ther are three drawings of each type.
