Elves. Seriously, in a lot of the moves (spins in the air, etc.
they reach down and hold it with one hand. For any simple move
in a straight line, if the board is kicked up into the air,
your feet can be lifted up to follow it, then back down on it
(arcing path-both follow the same path)

I have always wondered why someone hasn't used a switchable
electro-magnet in the shoes to stick to a metal board when you
want to....it would allow for neater tricks, since you don't
have to hang on to it....
