Georg,

Your opinion on increasing resonance as the motive principle in the Bessler wheel is intriguing and not without merit, however, the actual mechanisms and their harmonious interactions actually reach a state of resonance and stay there. An example of increasing resonance put to use would be the use of an Alpenhorn to power itself. The wide end of the horn's rim is fitted with piezoelectric elements in parallel with leads back to a small air compressor at the mouth. Once started by hand or other means, the resonance at the end of the horn has a much higher energy signature than at the input end and the energy collected is used to keep the the cycle going. Tesla was a master at this. Certainly, resonance has it's place in Bessler's wheel and without correct timing or resonance, it would not work. The actual motive force is the continual conversion of the translational forces exhibited by gravity brought on by the wheel's specific configuration.

Peace,

MR
