Hi Mike

Been having trouble with this "pendulum rig" due to the "unicycle man" syndrome showing up, i.e., pendulum weights hanging below the axle centerline.

By bringing up that old "clunker" you made me remember something completely overlooked and forgotten- shifting COG's and supporting large weights with a light lever
and small counterweight. May solve the problem, easy change, will try it next.

Thought about something else to on that old rig. If the violence is due to the bottom weights being raised off bottom, why couldn't one let them stay at the bottom rim and
raise them at the top, with the same lever/counterweight, with a stop to only allow the counterweight/lever to raise and drop just so far?
If topheavy yields positive results, what's the diference if you raise the bottom weights or raise the top ones to achieve it?
In other words, instead of 'Techstuf's weights drooping at the top, raise them up a distance from the axle greater than from axle to bottom weights.

Regards

grim
