On second thought Jon., they may be completely different ideas, but I was working on a gear difference with sections that needed to be stationary (as in the hanging weight idea). Actually I am a little embarrassed at having spent so much time on this paticular idea when it is so obvious why it doesn't work. Somehow I managed to fool myself into thinking I was lifting an equal weight higher than the one that fell. Still scratching my head over that because I measured time and time again. The weights must have been different weights, but I was sure they were the same.
