I'm sorry, but I'm never able to tell what you're talking about, but anyway, for the device I'm making they must be gears, fast, simple, and cheap as possible. It is not so much my concern to replicate Bessler's wheel as it is to make a working gravity wheel.

: : Are there any techniques you guys can think of that will hasten my construction of conical gears? I prefer if the teeth can be epicycloidial, I have an easy time designing those. It has occurred to me to use two different sized disks and dowels/spokes connecting their perimeters, but it makes the teeth design complex, which means I'll probably screw it up.

: Hi Jonathan,
: if you must use gears, you are on the wrong way. How long does it take for a
: carpender to cut gears ? I assume with Besslers technic more than a night.
: I made the gear way before, now I am only using rollers carrying an eccentric weight.
: With this rollers, you can have a higher (breaking)resistance and
: you can act with an oscillating force. Look at my homepage under COG and resonance.
:

: Best regards

: Georg
