Near the bottom of the thread list there are a couple posts about Hal McGoldrick's gravity wheel. I don't think this was ever resolved, so I wanted to say that I don't think it'll work. I think this because it must move weights in toward the center and to do that takes work. That work comes from the rotation of the wheel, and the rotation of the wheel comes from the asymetrical mass distribution. So in a sense, one would have to expect that the weights would move themselves inward on a nonmoving wheel for this concept to work. However, we know they don't do that, so I don't think it'll work.
