I agree in principle with what you are saying. There's no doubt that this discussion board is extremely low-tech and doesn't live up to the full potential that this subject matter could provide.
The last major feature that I added was the word search functionality. I encourage everyone to try it out and see if it helps organize and filter the messages based on the particular subject you are interested in researching.
The only issue I have with further improvements is the amount of time I have to build and maintain a better system. I am definitely open to ideas and suggestions. And of course, any software you might contribute would be most appreciated!
In the meantime, I will keep these suggestions in mind and try to incorporate more improvements as I can.

I know everyone has their own take and some are somewhat secretive, myself included (for reasons I stated), but I also know there's a seemingly large group interested in using this board to try and get some cohesive data. This may be impossible because we a re working with vaugue descriptions, but what do you think of the idea of (you) selecting sections of Bessler's quotes, and highlighting a small section, say weeks at a time, where people can collectively get together(a think tank) and post their own ideas on what they think "such and such" is? You could even have a vote afterwards and post percentages on what people think. 40 percent belive this etc.
