My understanding is watermarks are usually the company logo when the paper is made. So just trying to figure out a reasonable way how it could be a Commercien-Raht paper that bound the book; that and he probably didn’t bind the book himself so a printing shop probably would have done the work.

I would have guessed a museum got them binded at a later date, except it does look like his writing on the front and back cover.

Sort of reads that I was being sarcastic, but really I was just short on time and didn't explain myself.

no problem i had the same thoughts as you did except i could not determine if you were being serious ;-)

i looked at a few other online library digitized books/papers from carl (atestat carolos) and others i found from the wiki including some by bessler ,the few i looked at i could not find any such marks , the only other marks seem to be an impression of a round stamp/seal in carls ,there are stil other books and papers to look at to try and see if i can find that mark too but thusfar i cannot .

i was just thinking that it might be aging and other factors that made it more visible over time , but what it stands for elludes me ,at this point i think any ones guess is as good as mine

I wonder how many AP books were originally printed? How come more books haven’t survived? Bessler’s downfall and guilt must have been undeniable to the Saxon people at the time

i don't understand that much really, all i want is to see this crooks go down. a month ago they caught the electric companies stealing by fixing the counters, but the reality is a lot worst then this. I suspect they use different technologies to produce almost free electricity while they launder money through oil companies... anyway...

like i said, what i really want is to see them go down and humanity freed from the bonds of ignorance and silliness.

I would rather spend my time learning to design boats then doing this but no matter how many boats i would do...we would still have the exact same issues...
