Mr. Oystein !
You have mostly the idea right.
One correction, the 9-th ball take place at nr.10 position and that is around top of the wheel . Every ball is pushed on the wheel from 10 position height or a bit higher . Every angle (distance) of moving ball is multiply by 9.8n/m'2 and is giving enough energy to rise balls up.
I'm sorry for my typing mistakes but time on internet was limited and I'm very slow at that .
I mention that I would rise higher the stack of balls than is required by geometry and that is by use scissors lever like .
Somehow no one is listening to geometry. Two diagonals in square, when stretch up are 1/3 longer or higher then one side of the square.
Your experiments from 45 degree to 210 are just an impulse so if you continue with impulses, you are in motion with your seesaw round and round.
