John are your books available from any bookstores in the US? I am assuming you are in the UK.
The progress on the model is going well. Will have to put a slide rod in for the weights parallel path back and forth on the "throws" to prevent any bobbling as they traverse. Got tired of seeking a mold to pouir lead, so went to the Bass Pro Shop and got four 6 oz. lead "egg" sinkers, seem to be ideal.
The reason 6 oz. was settled on, I downscale proportioned the 12 ft. wheel to 15" dia. and the four pound weights came out 6 oz. for this size.
There will have to be a slight modification to the throws due to clearances necessary for the pulleys/weights, but its some simple jigsaw work.
If the books are not available in the local bookstores here, I will check your site and get details from there.
