Hi Scott,

the movie you see there is a simulation i did for Harti based on one of his ideas. The adjustment is very critical and it was just a 'quick go' to see what possibilities such an arrangement might have. I did it mainly to show him that it this way wont work. I'm still playing around with this idea, but i completely changed it. The basic idea is to collect the energy of a vertical dropping weight into a spring and to release it later on to move the weight back to the outer position of the rim (when the assembly is in an horizontal position .. idea is that it takes less energy to move the weight into position in this state). Weekend here, so i have no access to my files. I'll go and grab the pics once i'm back on work. ( Better pc there, much easier to run the simulations ).
About the mentioned gravity converter ... sadly i cant see it working this way. Looks good, but you have to watch the COG and you will see that it will stay under the position needed to turn the whole thing. But also .. a very interesting concept .. at the moment i designed an assembly with water filled cylinders and weights mounted onto a wheel. Saddly enough i'm not able to simulate fluid motion , looks like i have to build a model. Only problem is that i dont have a workshop and will take same time to find 'ready' made parts that will do what i want.
About simulations .... ok, looking for perpetual motion it looks like silly using them, they are based on the 'known' set of physical rules and anything 'special' is not taken into account. But still it is nice see where your COG is hanging around and how it will behave. At least it help you to get new ideas, sometimes, and it shows you problems you might not have thought of (friction, torque, etc.)

: Hi Davis,
: Thanks for your post. I actually saw this a while ago, and had meant to post something about it. Thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention.

: I must admit, part of the reason I didn't say anything about it sooner was that to me, the simulation did not seem believable. To me, it seemed to turn the wrong direction at times. But everyone should have the opportunity to judge for themselves.

: Here is the .avi file (should play automatically on most systems out there).
: harti_bessler01.avi

: I found the movie file here.

: Here is some discussion about it on the web. And here is some more.

: While we're at it, check out these ideas for a Gravity Converter.

: And on one of the discussion boards I also happened upon this interesting page about the Bowman Permanent Magnet Motor.

: Best Regards,
: Scott

: : Very important news, I have just seen that Stefan Haratmann(?) has desighned a Bessler wheel that works with two cylindrical weights, springs and pulleys. He simulated it on some motion software and it appears to work. I found it on the free energy yahoo discussion board, but couldn't see it because I had the wrong real player version or some such. Could you find it and put it up on the discussion board? I think that it can be found at www.overunity.com under latest updates or something like that.
