Current version is 26 inches wide to allow me to do all measurements in inches and even if I use feet there is still an inch of free space at each edge. This is because with the best of intentions, moving parts don't always end up inside the rim. I also use a 36 inch wheel because some arrangemets won't fit on the 26 inch wheel. The stand I use is simple and accomodates both wheels.
