The 'T' shape at the top of 'A' could be a represention of a handle. The 'V' at the top of 'B' could be a side view, meaning that there are two handles, which, when viewed from the top ('A') would line up. Notice also that the 'pivots' (on B) don't just line up with the other 'pivots' (on A), but also with the connections between the single and double lines.
What this would build, I have no idea....
And don't forget that A&B may not even go together. They could be variations relating to something else entirely.
