(TELL ME ABOUT IT!)

: : From what document, book, letter, etc. does the statement "Orffyreus commented that when the secret is revealed, he is afraid that people will complain that the idea is so simple it is not worth the asking price"?

: I suspect that this idea can be extented to include the belief that the machine would work: "When the secret is revealed, people will complain that it is so simple that it cannot possibly work." Most people will not bother trying to build anything. They will take one look and say it won't work, or that it must be a hoax, and that will be it. The secret will remain a secret, even though it has been revealed to everyone.

: Lurker.
