Hi Mike/Michael,

Actually, … still getting used to not seeing you as David :-) Thanks for your straight-up reply ! A little honesty can be quite cathartic don’t you think ? I have no desire to psycho analyse or second guess you or anybody else for that matter. Let’s not even go there.

In this community we are all beginners & students (well I am anyway) to one degree or another until the mystery is solved, so it’s only necessary to show a little humility & be helpfully constructive where called upon. A little humour doesn’t hurt either :-)

The only mystery I’m interested in solving is the OU principle for a gravity wheel. This does require a certain level of confidence in any claimant & their claims coming to this forum, as I’m sure you of all people would appreciate, hence a little due diligence so as to not over-prime my expectations unnecessarily :-)

Now, John Collins & Ovyyus attract a certain level of respect & confidence from forum members precisely because of their honesty, forthrightness & willingness to share. You made a good choice asking them to critique your idea & I look forward to the outcome. Funnily enough, for what it’s worth, anybody such as Darren, has my respect if they have the ability & also the courage of their convictions, which ever way it should turn out for him - obviously the jury’s still out !

The challenge, I guess, once you’ve gone public, is to find the courage to post your failures to the ideas page so that they may inspire others in their search. Should you have the answer or indeed, should you not have the answer (& I certainly hope you do), I wonder if you will do that ? Now that takes courage, especially from a previous self proclaimed, sometimes acerbic, sceptic of gravity powered wheels !

Hey, I wish you every success & I look forward to your next posts … as Michael ? :-)

Regards

Fletcher
