The current jobbie is all steel, at least the mechs. If one is trying to be "historically accurate", then wood would have to be involved, I would imagine.

If one is constructing their own "I don't care about that" design, then I guess as far as materials then anything would fly.

Just went to a site, FYI, that stated it was against US Federal law to construct a "perpetual motion machine" that would prove detrimental to

the petroleum industry and utilities. Before I take that at face value, will search US Code.
