That is a big reason why this technology is still not available to the public. Most people who know how it works wish to keeps the benefits for themselves. They throw out all sorts of false clues and other sorts of disinformation to keep others from finding the truth. That way, most people who are willing to believe that PM is possible never discover how to achieve it. At the same time, most people continue to believe that PM is impossible. Each new piece of misleading disinformation reinforces the belief that everyone involved with PM is a fraud or a nut-case.
If someone DOES find the truth and tries to reveal it, most people ignore it, and the other people who know the secret but wish to keep it for themselves then take steps to prevent the information from becoming publicly know on a wide scale. Generally, all you need to do is discredit the person who has released the information to prevent others from following up on it.
