when a roller with a eccentic weight falls against the rim, you can gain
energy. This happens because the weight in the roller is turned outside up.
This doesn't happen with gears. We need the free fall and hit on the rim.
As higher the free fall, as higher is the breaking energy which is neccessary braking
that fall. This breaking energy is transfered to the big wheel.
The big wheel is the resistance !!
But breaking turns the weight up, so energy is doubled. Breaking
force and the force in the eccentic weight are working in the
same direction but with a delay !!

Best regards

Georg
