Forgot to add that apparently fairly thick alluminium also has some shielding qualities. Fletch BTW I'm not chasing this particular tail anymore :-)

: I've made a permanent magnetic/gravitational free energy ramp! It's power output is unnoticeable and it is one shot, the geometry disallows it to really become full circle, so I can only prove on paper that is works, and so have stopped working with it, since if I got it to work it would have no practicle use. Here are some nice sites:
: ^read everything there, my ramp is based on this, but I've never been able to get it to work with a ball, only with a rolling magnet.
: ^I've tried but never been able to replicate exacly these effects, I've even bought mumetal on ebay to try, but it doesn't shield magnetic fields like I thought it would. He uses soft(pure) iron, but I've been unable to find a source of this to see if it being pure really makes a difference.

: : Hi Viper, I'm pretty sure it was Grim, some time ago, who posted that found in JB's estate after his death were 2 good sized loadstones. Always wondered myself if they had a part to play ? But ... JB said "gained force by the swinging of the weights" i.e. gravity only ! ??? I've played around over the years with rare earth permanent magnets. Couldn't find a successful way to shield them or turn them off, unfortunately. Read in an old book somewhere that mica (old rock formation I guess) could partialy shield magnetism. Good luck ! Fletch
