: : Okay, not sure if this is relevant or not in application, but it IS an interesting question. While watching some thrashers (skateboarders) on TV, when they do stunts that take them airborne, how does that damn skateboard stay on the bottom of their feet?

: Elves. Seriously, in a lot of the moves (spins in the air, etc.
: they reach down and hold it with one hand. For any simple move
: in a straight line, if the board is kicked up into the air,
: your feet can be lifted up to follow it, then back down on it
: (arcing path-both follow the same path)

: I have always wondered why someone hasn't used a switchable
: electro-magnet in the shoes to stick to a metal board when you
: want to....it would allow for neater tricks, since you don't
: have to hang on to it....

: Viper

Thanks! (But it's still something I'm not brave enough to do anymore ;) Now if I can just figure out how to apply that to the inside of a moving wheel.... (Stuffing Elves into a wheel isn't a piece of cake either. They bite, scratch, and howl all the while, and THEN you have to put up with the incessant complaining as they spin round and round. There has to be a better way....)
